Matbakhli uses Azure OpenAI (GPT-4o) to generate personalized recipes based on the ingredients you have in your inventory. Simply add your ingredients, tap "Generate Recipe," and the AI will suggest recipes that match what you have — while respecting your dietary preferences and allergen restrictions.

Yes. We use industry-standard encryption, JWT authentication, and Firebase/Firestore for secure data storage. Your password is hashed and never stored in plain text. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

You can delete your account from within the app: go to Settings → Delete Account. You'll be asked to confirm by typing "DELETE." This permanently removes all your data — including your profile, saved recipes, ingredients, calorie logs, and spending data. You can also email us at support@matbakhli.app to request deletion.

Absolutely. During setup or in your profile settings, you can specify allergies (e.g., nuts, dairy, gluten) and dietary preferences (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, keto). The AI respects these filters when generating recipes.

Calorie and nutritional estimates are approximations generated by AI and should be used for general tracking purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional dietary advice. If you have specific medical or nutritional needs, consult a healthcare professional.

Some features like viewing your saved recipes and ingredient inventory work offline. However, AI recipe generation, calorie logging sync, and account-related features require an active internet connection.

Matbakhli is currently available on iOS. An Android version is planned for a future release.
